Good novel so far, but not for all readers. According to the guide chapter, the first 20 chapters are introductory, which means that for the following ones you will see a more adult version. The protagonist's reaction to the unknown, the dangers and how to take care of himself is the closest thing to realism. Good novel, as said, not for everyone.

the fic have plot holes like how mc have the invisible book to help him but not clear reason how is that possible. and the book got ability to read future with no clear lore how is that possible. its logically flawed which is fatal for frieren fandom becauss frieren lore is one off the most consistent lore with working logic and balance fairness in distribution of power/talent. mc also know that there is water which gives you longevity in life without proper lore and reason. author is just sugar daddy for mc who keep giving mc power and plot armor, its wish fulfillment. reading this fic is just like reading cultivation novel in frieren complete with stereotype villain like bully sectmate and bully senior with one dimensional character, completely different from frieren's vibe which have complex characters. in frieren fic, even demon who have simplest nature is more complex characters than what this fic is offer. grammar and language writing quality is good. update is stable. world background and lore is bad becauss its like chinese cultivation world. character design is flawed. but despite all those flaws, this fic is still the best frieren fic around. tbh there is no frieren which have less flaw ornplothole than thia fic. so yeah its my favorite frieren fic rn. i'll temper my expectation to this fic at moderate level knowing that frieren is mostly abandomed in less than 30 chaptechapter

Ok, as I say this, this novel at the beginning was incredible and in the middle part it was great, but in the last chapters it was total garbage, 1. the mc completely changed his personality, from a war general to a poorly made copy of Ban (7 deadly sins), 2. the mc flees and avoids the war even though too many characters sacrificed themselves because they thought he would fight the demon king and the only thing the mc did was hide for years, 3. the author copied and pasted Ban's backstory with the fairy, his romance with the fairy and the cup of immortality, it's not hate, just my opinion as someone who follows this every update :9
