If you wanna see him suffer mentally, I suggest skipping the gore chapter (there’s only one such ch) and reading till chapter 30 since that’s when he hits a wall for the first time. It's up to you tho. But I thank you for not simply leaving a one star review just because you didn't like a certain aspect of the fic.

As for other works, I do have one DxD fic in making. Desperate to survive in the chaotic world and the power struggle within the Imperial Family, Anastacius did whatever he could to survive. I think I will give it another go besides the gore chapter or maybe just soldier thru cause I read a glimpse of upcoming chapters and I got hooked I need to go back to read that chapter tho 🤧 but i will try honestly your story telling is too good to stop at this roadblock

Well, I got the idea from a fic called ‘hero return from isekai DxD.’ Never read it but the idea looked interesting so I took it and mixed it with some points from my first DxD fic. Haven't seen any other fic except that with this idea.

No. As I said in the comment, he “hit a wall” he needed to overcome — which he did. It wasn’t torture of any sort lol. Is the fic dark? Kinda, I guess, but not for the protagonist. He makes it dark for others xD. Is it tragedy? No.

Uh, no. He mentioned “gore and crazy,” which refers to a scene where Mc is torturing someone else (around ch 20 if I remember correctly), which goes into quite the detail.
