Forced plot. Writer is a fan of King Baldwin, no surprise there as he won againt legendary Saladin when he was a teen. But that create a problem of hammering a massive round log into a microscopic square hole. Maybe some back story of sibling rivalry turned in plotting and scheming to kill of Rheaturd's (Rhaegar) perceived replacement of being continue to be the crown prince (as we read he was constantly threatened by little mad prince after his birth). At the sham trial Queen was nowhere to be found, a plot hole. (If only some back story showed his blood family along with sister in law were in that scheme). Red priestess resurrecting the burned one another forced story. Red priestess was full on fanatic if she was in play, nothing absolutely nothing would herm her precious Azor/prince or princess that was promised. Major plot hole. Also after losing instead of taking his head and nailing and handing from the wall of king's landing or red keep to have a reminder kings back stabbing subject, he was burned to death by wildfyre, if that was the case every lord and lady would keep 100 miles distance between Mad king and themselves. Rebellion would not happen as canon. Brandon would never in million years would go to king's landing to demand justice for the "abduction" of Loseryana the wh*re of westeros, homewrecker of royal proportion (Lyanna climbing up a married man's bed who have already 2 trueborn childing with a princess while engaged to another lord unmarried, un-widowed with no trueborn child, what a logic). Stark logic of course Stark motto it's honorable and justified if only they do it. Bunch of double, triple and multiple standard hypocrites. Rickard Stark would never go to king's landing without entire northern army (children and old solders even maybe all spearwives included any and everyone that can hold or carry some kind of weapon) along with entire riverland and vale behind him for answering his heir's crime. Another awful plot hole. BTW where was Brandon, Ned and Rickard when Lyanna put the crown of winter rose on her head from a married prince who is already father of a child and in front a heavily pregnant princess wife? Any sane highborn/noble daughter would mortified along with her family by the action of the prince and that of a family of a lord paramount. The only course of action is shotgun wedding to Robbert then and there. OG plot hole. (Hungry bear path describe starks "wolf blood" perfectly). Onto current ff. Maybe it could be done by everyone though he was death but the prince was too stubborn to die, helped by random kindly passerby or fisherman. If Ashara loved the 2nd prince so much she deserved to know he lives asap. Only above mention rivalry and or acrimonious relationship with his entire family would keep the prince go to help his mother, younger brother, sinter-in-law, his niece and baby nephew. Sorry of inconstancy I am on heavy pain meds and my thinking plus writing skill is now equivalent to a toddler. Human life is overrated to save at this kind of cost. WQ 3.
