Well, if u think of a 'villain' as the mindlessly evil person, who is evil to be evil, he is not one. If you consider someone who'd eradicate a city to have a breakthrough a villain, he is one. But yes, even following his own desires is of his benefits tho, as a demon—its upto you now.

I will not go beyond anything where characters would be forgotten, one dimensional, or to the point where the story side tracks. Well, I would only add if the story becomes better for it. As for a definite number, I am not really sure tbh

Is this inspired by Self Made Demon King are whatever it’s called. The one with the art system? Just asking cause of the egg and demonling part. I also got inspired once I read that story.

Author, I'm conflicted. On one hand, I want to keep reading. On the other hand, I'm on chapter 25 and the foreshadowing at the end of the previous chapter really worried me. All the reviews say what a good novel this is and how there are unique plot twists but I feel like I can already see everything that's going to happen in this world. He and his mate get caught by a crazy scientist on the way to the demon area, convinces scientist lady to become his woman, etc., meanwhile those three kids become powerful hunters. At the end MC really regrets not killing them immediately and either gets that ability after sacrificing a lot or not at all. Again I'm on chapter 25 so this is just me guessing but as someone with anger issues I try not to read things that have events that would make me angry. And the MC making stupid decisions to advance the plot always makes me angry. Basically, I'm hoping someone will tell me I'm wrong so I can continue reading. Because unless MC makes stupid decisions or is put in a passive/disadvantageous position I would like to keep reading. Honestly, whatever can happen to other characters and I won't care but when MC is f*cked with it really bothers me...

I'd say continue reading. Trust me, fellow daoist. Of course I won't force you to read but I am sure the novel isn't as predictable as you painted it to be—and it doesn't go the way u think it will either. I have set up pretty good twists here and there and I honestly believe the first volume, which is soon to be completed, is worth all the time I spent writing it.

And it was not a stupid decision. Whatever he does, there is a touch of pure rationality in it. As you have seen—he did what he did because of the risk-to-reward ratio and the possibility of unknown variables.

I didn't mean the decision itself was stupid, I was talking about the foreshadowing right after where it said he'd never regret a decision more. Then the next chapter was about the mad scientist lady. So I was worried about that. Honestly that kind of foreshadowing always makes me worried, it's like learning that a decision was wrong right after watching mc make it lol
