Great fic. The translation is also very good, but it's not a fic for everyone. The story is interesting, the MC's path and the ways he decided to develop make sense. Most of the time the MC is also at least as intelligent as a normal person, which is really a lot for a Chinese fic and insanely intelligent for a Chinese cultivation fic. Throughout the fic the MC only had one or two bouts of mild stupidity and these moments can be justified as moments where the MC was controlled by his emotions instead of just being stupid. This is really a huge plus point for this fic since 99% of Chinese fics are unreadable due to the levels of stupidity. This is a fic that focuses much more on theory and cultivation development than combat and adventure, basically it's a fic for those who like to read more about a wizard developing magic than fighting. My complaint and the reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that the translator is a complete mercenary on Patreon. He is a translator, translating a fanfic and is charging more than original novels charge, much less fanfics. Seeing someone trying to profit in such a despicable way from someone else's work is really sad. I truly believe that if the translator had chosen to charge more in line with a translated fanfic he could have even received more. I myself would be willing to sponsor $10 for the 50 advanced chapters, even though it is still a lot for a translated fanfic, but paying $40 for a translated fanfic is simply illogical.
