Review Detail of TwinkieXO in I Can Copy And Evolve Talents

I once gave this book a 3.75 star review cause I believed it has potential but alas I decided to drop it finally. The book is definition of very good idea but trash level execution. The first 30 chapters are a torture to go through. It becomes good for the next 50 ish chapters and then goes back to being a bore and waste of time and money. Here are some of the main problems I have with this book: 1. Mc This guy is actually dumb. Mc’s motivation is to get motivation to get stronger. He will never make a decision that moves the story forward. The story progress depends completely on the world event and side characters. If noting happned the mc will just stand and wait for something to happen. If I told you that you would become stronger by killing monsters , What would you do? Someone with basic sense would say I will kill monsters to get stronger. But our mc will not kill monsters, he will go on a trip which involves no killing of monsters, and then ask “What can I do to become stronger, if I stay like this I will never catch up to my enemies? Also mc is definition of a tsundere he will argue with the female lead and still do what she wants. I just call him a dumb simp. Again if you want a mc with personality your out of luck, we just have the regular monologue mc cause making decisions is impossible. 2. Female lead I don’t know how I came to hate someone, who only speaks 3 times per chapter and smiles 5 times in every conversation. The author has a talent for making the most hatable characters. She is so hatable that I would rather drop the book than continue reading. 3. Side characters NPC’s with AI personalities like: wuss sidekick, grumpy instructor, rowdy bully, guy who got scared cause he saw how strong mc was and caring instructor mc had one interaction with. 4. Writing style: This is clearly the first book by the author, it follows basic anime tropes. The author purposely skips information cause he wants to surprise the readers later in the story(its not a surprise when we all know what to expect). An example of some amzing interactions you can expect: Person1: I am going to kill somone clearly stronger than me Mc: I see you are out of your mind, …..I quit ……..but I have no choice so I will follow you( btw mc has a choice but too dumb to notice this) Some internal monologues the mc has during this conversation. “How will she kill someone’s so strong?, but I wont ask her cause then she can ask something abt me.” My reaction Bitch you are going on this mission with her, you can ask about her plan in the last 10 chapters while you have been walking with her while having an internal monologue. On a side note just keep a dictionary near you cause author likes using words not used in the last century. 5. Talents What talents? There are gaps of 20 chapters or more where the mc has no battle(only way the mc gets stronger) and no one uses any abilities. Conclusion: Book is not worth reading,even though there are some unique ideas, better books exists with a similar trope and better in almost everything.
