I would enjoy this novel if the translation was better. Unfortunately it’s not so it’s hard to recommend people to spend money on it. Webnovel offers a correction button now, but the novel is riddled with so many mistakes that I would literally be doing the translator’s job for them. Except they’d still be getting paid. I’m pretty sure they’re not actually fixing the mistakes pointed out anyway. If you’re into palace drama/harem fighting you might’ve liked it. FL seems fun and ML isn’t too bad either.

LIKEAbsolutely true. All the name problems are exhausting and are throughout many paragraphs in practically every chapter. I'm not paid as a translator yet would have to hit the "correction" choice in probably 70-80% of the book I've read so far. And it's just the women's names that are messed up.
About the name translation, Webnovel did a bad job translating without understand the culture and background of the story. FL and the other ladies have their own names and also their title, which is “surname + rank of the concubine” (like “level 3 concubine Shen” or “double B concubine Xu” not much different from our modern “associate director Li” or “Team B leader Zhang”) because they sound and characters are similar to Chinese name (surname plus given name) so I think this is where the translation gone wrong.
