Overall: It started out good, but with a severely unlikeable MC and a FL who, despite having all the tools she needs to be strong, continues to be a licensed, professional, bona fide, certified damsel in distress for no reason other than the fact that the author forgets things and has to highlight how incredibly awesome the ML is, it *severely* fell off for me. I regret ever spending a single coin on this novel. Detailed breakdown: Translation Quality: Poor. While the grammar isn't usually all that bad and it's mostly free from the MTL-level translation gaffes like misgendered characters, the names are *incredibly* inconsistent and weirdly formatted. Add to that the chapters, which skip around so you often have to wonder what exactly went wrong. For instance, it skipped from 791 to 992, then dropped back from 994 to 795, with chapters 792-794 completely missing. There are also chapters that look like the second half of a chapter got pasted into an entirely different chapter. Update Stability: Mediocre. See above about how the chapters get posted all willy nilly and shuffled around. Story Development: Mediocre and cliche. The author uses very repetitive plots on an extremely short cycle, all while managing to somehow feel like plots are artificially stretched out. It's also inconsistent. For example, the FMC has a space and sometimes the ML knows about it, while other times he doesn't know. The author even has the FMC bring the ML into it from time to time, even though she's constantly internally monologuing about how she can't let him know it exists. Character Design: Horrible. The ML is incredibly obsessed with the FMC to the point where she's not allowed to do anything at all for herself. At one point, he picks her up and carries her because she's not allowed to get blisters on her feet from walking, despite the FMC having grown up in a farming family. He's also obnoxiously jealous, to the point where he actively tries to prohibit her from spending time with her family and friends, but in an inconsistent manner. If the plot requires it, he's fine with it. Otherwise, he'll go so far as to physically restrain her from spending time even with her twin sister and parents. The FMC constantly throws herself into dangerous situations because she has a space, but then never uses the space at the critical moment, leading to a repeated kidnapping and hostage plot requiring the ML to swoop in and rescue her from her own stupidity. Yet at other times, she's incredibly intelligent, like when dealing with social situations and "inventing" technologies and policies to enrich the empire she transmigrated to. The FMC's father is *stupidly* filial, to the point where his parents and brothers/sisters-in-law have tried on numerous occasions to sell, murder, or burn his property and family to the ground, but he lets them off because "well we all survived, didn't we". Other than those three examples, the other characters are inconsistent in how they treat the FMC depending on whether the plot needs them to be friendly or hostile to her. And sometimes (okay, most times), the hostility is completely unreasonable and comes out of left field. World Background: Bog standard and cliche. If you've read one "modern woman transmigrates to distant past in a peasant farming family and becomes powerful" novel, you've read them all.

I wish I had read your review before I started the book. Regret. I regret wasting the minutes I read this book. I dislike the main character so much, I’m thinking of cheering on the horrible family. I’ve never read such an unlikable female lead where she deserves all the trouble with her family. She could’ve stopped them in the beginning but chose to suffer. This book is such a waste of time. It had potential but was ruined by the author.

"Isla." Staring at relief, regret, happiness and maybe....love, Isla could not believe the man at her front was her husband, even if his appearance had not changed since her escape from the Hayes Duchy. Compared to the indifference he clearly expressed during their five years of marriage, she wanted to laugh out loud, as she understood the reason for his disgusting emotions. Duke Hayes looked at his first wife, who gave him nothing but pure love in their marriage. However, he pursued another love with intentions and now he became the biggest fool. The Farm Girl's Charismatic Fortune

By Xishui River, there lived a family with the surname Ruo, whose luck was so disastrously poor that it was as if misfortune was possessed by their very souls. When other families had bountiful harvests, the Ruo Family harvested not a single grain. Their planted vegetables were devoured by insects, their chickens got chicken plague, their pigs got swine fever… Despite the household being full of strong men, they were either mad, crippled, or blind… What would have been a family of great prospects became the poorest within ten miles. The only thing that others envied about the Ruo Family was its thriving male members! The old lady of the Ruo Family had given birth to six sons, who then gave her four grandsons. She dreamt day and night of having a granddaughter. When she finally got a grandchild, to her dismay, the child was mentally disabled: at over three years old, she still couldn’t speak or walk, couldn’t even eat or relieve herself without help. Everyone thought the Ruo Family would never turn their fortunes around in this lifetime! That was until the half-old three-year-old mentally disabled child suddenly called out, “Mom…” The heavens began to change. The world began to turn mysterious. In the Ruo Family’s courtyard, the persimmons ripened overnight. The vegetables in the fields, nearly nibbled bare by insects, turned lush and green. The old hen that had never laid eggs suddenly started laying… While others faced famine, the Ruo Family’s granary was full. The eldest son was no longer mad, the second son was no longer crippled, the third son was no longer blind… The old lady of the Ruo Family, with her hands on her hips, laughed heartily to the sky, “Who says my Xuanbao is a dimwit? She’s clearly a treasure of blessings!” (This is a farming novel with a hint of fairy charm, where the female protagonist in a previous life was a just-awakened daylily that has reincarnated as a human.)
