Well, for a novice author the story is quite good, but the characters do not have a consistent character, the story goes too quickly, although the pace is not great. The main character cares too much about his appearance, why? Was he a model in a past life or something? There are still some moments that confuse me, but the story is quite suitable to pass the time, because the plot itself is quite interesting)

Every normal functioning living human has atleast a modicum of desire to look desirable, even if it's a passing thought there is no one who did not think so once or twice. When did I ever state face is the most important feature in a person? Yes it is an important part in choosing your loved one but it certainly is not the focus. Also if someone is average in all basic qualities and appearance then they have certain traits that set them apart from others, things like muscles, art, music or even sports. There are also people who are average with no qualities making them stand out yet they have their own thoughts and in some cases charm that enable them to woo women and some rare cases getting a partner whose physical qualities may be above average yet their intellect not so high and vice versa , I don't understand why you are so adamant in denying that face matters, dont twist my words into stating that it is he most important quality as I have said already. As for those super beautiful people you mention, they end up as celebrities or in same cases married to people with money who like them. Saying that face does not matter is false. Face, personality, behaviour are the defining features that make the first impression on a person so all are important even if in the end personality is most cases remains as the most important, that does not in any way mean that face is not important. If someone is above average in face but average in other areas then for the other average potential life partners they hold an edge over the rest of the dating competition due to their traits as previously mentioned and this case the face.
