Honestly, I really enjoyed reading the story. The plot, characters, and description of the world around them was so well done, and it kept me on my toes on what will happen next. However, as the storyline progressed, it felt like the author was very repetitive on many aspects such as what kind of beings the characters were and such. The progress of the story has therefore significantly slowed down in the last 200 chapters. I dreaded the time one of the significant twist of the stories happened as I knew there wouldn’t be any development on that part for a while. While I was also interested in the development of the other characters, I could not focus on them at all until the previous plot twist gives me further answers. Now, I have paused this story for a while until I can get a better understanding on whether a certain person is back (or not). Would I read it again? Definitely, as the author has obviously spend so much time and effort on this and I am excited to see what happens next.

Thanks so much for the amazing review Rindz!!! It's always a day maker to read feedback for GCM, it gets me motivated to keep writing (there are still quite a few twists and turns left for our MC!) Our slowdown is almost over with June almost gone and only July left! Hopefully, it won't extend to August 🥹🥹🥹 To answer your question, yes, a certain mischiefmaker is 💯 on his way home and our other characters had to take a front seat for a while to cover some bases. . . . ***Spoiler*** Bases like a certain brother's homecoming, An introduction to our main throuple's past, Both ML's doing some growing up/owning up to their inaction, And the babies and their stregnths! . . . Our MC is getting a little direction right now too, so we can pick up where Xu Zeng on his own adventure leaves off WITH more information about all their pasts. Visiting the inlaws (Xuan Yang's family) coming soon! Lady Xuan is a bit smarter than she lets on 😏

Stumbled on this gem randomly. I want to commend the author for the really compelling writing like the feels, the atmosphere like its just filled to the brim with artistic and compelling words. I really really appreciate the gradual world-building like its not a in-your-face, word vomit but its so beautifully written! I'm not even half the story and I can already tell that this is very promising especially with the 3 protagonists. i also really love that they aren't the "perfect" characters but rather flawed and I really love reading their monologues. I'll come back for another review once I've finished it. so hapoy i found this!! thank you for your hardwork author-sama! [img=update]

This book has a great storyline and interesting characters. At first I wasnt’t for the trupple, but it grew on me. What hasn’t grown on me is the amount of wasted words the author utilizes in their efforts of creating visual descriptions of the scenery and characters. Literally, in most chapters, the 1st few pages are repetitive descriptions of the ‘lush estate’ or ‘beauty of the mls. If they have to provide a detailed reminder every chapter of the aesthetic prowess of the characters & backdrop, do it in 1-2 paragraphs per chapter rather than repeating yourself multiple times wasting multiple pages of each chapter. A proofreader is definitely needed.
