is there a cheaper way to buy this book? Author, sorry your story is good, just not worth 200$

LIKEWell, the thing is, I do realize that the words in this one book are worth ten books, but I, personally, would never spend $300 on a bundle purchase of ten books. I have never spent $30 on a book for pleasure in my life. I honestly think that this whole charge-prices-like-these-are-paper-novels system is skewed. I mean, how many people reading online novels actually spent $300 on paper novels for pleasure before? Not too many, I'd suppose. And you can't forget about kindle unlimited, of which I am a healthy subscriber, which has a bountiful amount of interesting stories to read, for a monthly subscription of $11.99. Now, compare $11.99 for ten or more books a month to $300 for one book. Are you starting to see the disparity? I must also mention something that my Father always told me; when spending money, compare the value of what you're purchasing to your income. If I purchased a book for my own pleasure, worth $300, that's equal to about a week's wages. Without considering other expenses. Think about that for a moment. A lot of subconscious thought goes into our "not worth it" decision about this book. It's not a dismissal. It's not an insult. It's simply a human prioritization of resources.
ah yes, subscriptions. Quick question, how much of the profits do you think the various authors of those books get from that system? probably not a lot I'd assume. 11.99 split thousands of ways isn't a lot, even when considering how many people purchase those subscriptions. Authors put a ton of work into writing( I would know) and, especially if the book or book series is of high quality, would seriously appreciate not being scammed by large companies lol. Also the key reason why the coins system is there is so that you can give up on the book half way through if you don't like it. You can't do the same with an ebook that isn't kindle or subscription based. The only way you can replicate that is if you go to the library and read half the book at the store or borrow from a friend or something. Final point I promise; if you don't like the prices, DONT USE THE SERVICE. There are some of us that don't mind the prices(✋️) because we can get amazing content, don't have a subscription, and can drop stories halfway through without having a book just sit on my shelf afterwards. Anyway, have a nice day. Cathulhu01 OUT! ✌️
It’s weird to me how you’re acting like they didn’t *already* say they’re not going to pay for webnovel because the service isn’t worth it to them. You’re the one who chose to argue with them, then you tell them to do what they already said they will do?
If their authors were getting even ten percent of the money Webnovel pulls in with their ridiculous prices, good authors would all flock to the platform. Since good authors are rare on here, it’s pretty clear this isn’t an attractive setup.
