Honestly, I don’t mind it too much when authors use the word count chapter to bump them up and into rankings. Sure, it’s annoying especially if they drop before even publishing 15k words in the first place, but that’s just it. My issue in this case is the author posted two word count chaps, which raises the update rate falsely and gives me GhostyZ chapter padding flashbacks. It’s dishonest and makes me think the author has no regard for his readers anyway. I’m sure this is going to just be a cash grab through his eventually published p * treon sooner or later.

it would be better if authors at least draft 15k words and then post them so , we reader will also know if novel is any good or not and can review and author get 15k word count, like authors on spacebattles does.
