It's weird to see a rewrite of a FF that is both complete and that I truly enjoyed. Still I'm really looking forward to your improvement as an author showing and the more realistic approach (I really liked the fist couple of arc at beginning of the previous iteration were the stakes were more personal and the drama abundant, I'm a sucker for drama!). So good luck to the author! I'll be along for the ride!

LIKEI question this too. lol I think its just a way to say there is more tragedy and drama. so its not more realistic, just added darker elements to remind them of their own dark existence.
DetachedDreamer:realistic. so projecting our idea of what's "real" to a world made completely of fiction? can you break that down? their world plays by different physics and laws. can you explain it better? sounds like a contradiction to me so im confused.
I'm mainly concerned with plot armour when talking about realism. But since every fictional world is inhibited by human like people it should also extend to the behaviour of those people. I wouldn't wish for them to be excessively robotic or emotional. It's a fine balance but it can be achieved by pointing out the cause-effect relations between action and how that specific character reacts (hopefully they do so consistently). It's a high ask and, although there may be various degrees of success, I think this is what distinguishes stories I can enjoy above else.
