MC is a retard. He wastes his points, even knowing he's wasting them, and for what reason? Because he's a retard.

LIKEIf you stopped after the first bump in the story then nothing. But if you read on, you see character development and the MC admitting that he was thinking like he was on earth when he helped his teammates, he realizes that his actions was truly wasted on them . . . . . Spoiler i mean 1 just goes and offs her self Spoiler I mean if you read on you will see that MF MC kills his teammates for trying to KS his kill
How does he waste it? It would be great if you mentioned some other details related to the story as most of the readers aren't okay with reading any book from the shelf :)
Webnovel_Baller:Man, what a classic protagonist move that is! I never saw that one coming

I wouldn't call that a waste. If their healthcare system is similar to the American or they are in a predicament where getting patched up is difficult and they need it to stay alive or continue their journey, plus helping someone when they are down is the easiest way to gain their trust.
Pizza_banane:After his first mission he spent a lot of points to heal his teammates
how tf is that a waste? that's the best investment on terror novels/fics. You're only as good as your team.

You def have't read Terror Infinity then, if you deem this as a waste. I can understand the sentiment, if you compare it to regular fics. But this is Terror Infinity we are talking about. Perfect team rapport is the only way to survive.

HopeBones5:yeah even though its a waste later on it shows its the right move, so you need to keep reading to be honest it gets better
I highly doubt that 'you' actually read Terror Infinity and not some random TI-based fanfic instead - that's the only explanation of how you managed to not take away the only viable strategy of "don't trust ANYONE, always be greedy, invest in nothing but base stats and any defensive countermeasures against supernatural hazards for the first dozen trials". Anything else will immediately get you brutally murdered unless you have plot armor.

You can never be sure that they will not betray you, but to survive a reliable and strong team is the only alternative, that will not happen overnight, just be cautious and alert, but do not blindly distrust, if you take too long your teammates team will die and you will be screwed
Simon_6903:Are you sure that they will not betray you?
In their defense, that is not the only strategy, rather it is a very dangerous one, you should not trust anyone blindly, but if your teammates have risked your life for you and you for them, you can say that they are a true team, if they bonds are strong, the team will be even stronger, surviving terror infiniti without a reliable team is impossible
