First of all, only thing that I appreciate about story is that, MC like true man decided that he will remain a loyal man only to his wife But he can do, all that, without looking like an idiotic simp, and not doing meaningless things like asking 6 months to court her Rather he should court without stating it explicitly, instead asking her permission by putting himself down to rock bottom
Andrew_3058:Idiot simp because he wants to respect the woman that he is married to? He is actively flirting with her and getting her to slowly open up to her. An MC who is actively on the chase is more interesting than an MC who has women fall into his lap with no effort at all.
Ok, I totally get where you are coming from. However, this whole story is about the idea that both men and women should be treated with respect as human beings. MC puts the 6 month time limit because he wants to give FL her own choice if she wants to be married to him instead of being forced by an arranged marriage. He has to make this grand 6 month period statement to show how much he has changed and to secure something like a trial marriage where the FL agrees to cooperate with him. No matter how good the MC is to the FL, there is a chance that their personalities are just not compatible. And in the modern society we live in, it is totally acceptable to end a relationship because you didn’t feel like you clicked with your partner. It is like the bare minimum to let someone choose if they want to be with you. MC wants to give that choice that modern people enjoy to FL and he hopes that his efforts find a way to her heart and she can confidently choose him. It is like the saying goes, if you love something set it free and if it loves you, it will return. I can see how it looks like the MC is created his own hoops to jump through, but he wants to work hard to create the foundation of their relationship and then in 6 months they can start their honeymoon phase. He also doesn’t want to marry a complete stranger instead now he can get to know her for 6 months before taking the final plunge. He can also choose to not marry her if he doesn’t like the 6 months. Now that I think about it, this whole story is about how the MC makes life harder for himself because he wants to stand by his principles. So I guess you are not wrong to call him an idiot. 😂 I just hope he comes off as a loveable idiot. But I just think it is wrong to call him a simp. Don’t worry too much. MC will not let any guys get close to FL in the 6 months if that is what you are worrying about. He will made sure that her eyes are focused only on him and any pests are taken care of.
