Stayed as interesting to you realize the only difference between your average fantasy novel and this one is the Indian names for the kingdoms, warrior classes etc. The reason I hate this MC is the same reason I hate most second chance MC's. They continue to act like children even though they've experienced "the depths of despair" before. He's also the master of bad plans. Read till ch 74, and so far it seems deus ex machina is his only skill

LIKEThanks for taking your time to write this review. About the MC acting like a 'child': I believe a man's behaviour changes based on the situations he was in. For example, if you are in a situation where you are experiencing things for the second or third time, you will be likely to be more calm and make sound decisions, where as if you experience new and sudden situations, your decisions will also be affected which is what happens for Eren. Going to exiles was a norm for him but when he encounters high level monster above his level, his decision was also affected... And I believe in character development than making mc all powerful and all knowing at the start, hope that has answered your questions.
I don’t think the use of character development is useful in this scenario because of his harsh past life experience. His past life experience should be enough to mold his character and maybe to use some fine tuning later on in the story. Overall great book author-San really enjoyed reading it
Character development is only valid if the novel doesn't have regression or reincarnation, otherwise the personality and the mind of the main character is already set unless you want to do a "learning how to trust" kind of character development
Doesn’t really make much of a sense to say it’s for CD, mc was already grown and has experienced many things, his personality is already complete if this a regression story then you can’t use that as an excuse for mc to be childish when mentally he is older. If you didn’t want mc to be “all knowing, mature and somewhat skilled” then you should not have had him regress to the past or reincarnated. Would’ve been better for you if you simply had him grow up naturally and make him smarter or talented in something so he could keep up with the world.
