LIKEI liked what you write. but I have a suggestion or, most likely, a remark: the main character is a general who received the rank for nothing. I consider it necessary that the main character went through a complicated course and it was said, in the text it was described fairly uniformly, as if he was an ordinary clone, the boiler would be a meat killing machine. and the second is his partly childish or, I can even say, stupid behavior and bickering. after all, he can be removed from the post of general due to incompetence or he will be "killed", and Palpatine will simply hide him in his laboratories for research.
While I see where your coming from, you have to remember that in the first battle of Geonosis, none of the clones had real war experience and that their ranks were most likely chosen based off there performance in training. Since they were the first clones to be enlisted and to add to the fact that the first battle of Geonosis was completley unexpected/ rushed, the Republic had to give automatic command to Jedi, while automatically giving skilled clone troopers, rank Commander and etc, in order for them to serve/assist the Jedi. To summarize what I’m tryna say, the MC is as skilled as any other Jedi Master and to add to the fact that he can use the force just as skilled also. He was clearly above the capabilities of any clone commander and in turn was given his postion automatically based off his training merits. Just like how in canon, colored armored clones were automatically given a rank for nothing, but most likely based off there training since they had no prior experience. Hope this clears it up!
