just another one of those "modern magic is too weak, I'm disappointed" antics and kids learning elemental magic when it should be the highest level magic in this world, you can already tell how this is going to be from the start so don't miss out time.

LIKEAh... that's annoying. Specifically because it's both canon that modern magic is more developed than old magic -thus 'stronger' and that 'Elemental Magic' is literally just transfiguration and charms used to manipulate an element, it isn't it's own branch or anything like it is in other works of fiction.
Actually, what this person put as a review is misleading, I never said modern magic as in Wand magic is weaker, the story says that the ambient magic power in the world is weaker
Ah thank's for clearing that up, that could actually fit with canon too. After all post-International Statute of Secrecy, all of the magical world split off from the muggle side. Reducing where and when magic was cast or used, places where it's used more often likely retain or have higher ambient power such as Hogwarts, Hogsmade, Diagon Alley or such while other places have little, or am I thinking wrong?
You are correct in your thinking, places where magic is used all the time have higher levels of pure magic power compared to a muggle city
