Ah. Honestly, I wasn't going to write a review at first because I directly understood that this novel wasn't going to be for me (I am not into romance). It would be like saying you dislike a horror book because it contains horror. That being said, the writing quality and the magic made me stay (I have an inkling toward mix of technology and magic). What a mistake I have made 😑. I won't talk about the amount of sexual related talk that make you wonder if it's actually a magic novel since, again, it was clearly portrayed since the beginning and I knew what awaited me (I wasn't ready for the relationship with his cousin though, like what? Yes I know they are distant family but it's still family...) but the main character... THE MAIN CHARACTER. He discovers he has a magi inheritance in a world where magi are being killed or worse. Yet, the MC shows little to no concerns. You know, I understand that he was forced to follow the rule of the witches. But bro, you could at least show some concern ? You could not instantly trust whoever comes by ? Have some plans ? I am sure he will (I have dropped) but right now, he hasn't shown any... like how ? Also, why is the MC accepting to be used as a battery without any afterthought? Its as if it was the best thing to be a human battery... HOW ?! And then he became a familiar... A FAMILIAR ?! And the worst ? He doesn't show any concerns about becoming a familiar, not even an afterthought. What human being, and I say that in general, would suddenly become a slave and show absolutely no concern? Not even a little bit angry ? Just after he learns that familiars have to sleep with their master. It seems so forced... Like bro, enough, dropped. I am not a romance guy but the very least I know is that romance doesn't imply that the MC is dumb and incoherent.

LIKEI understand why you would say the novel seems forced. But I feel like I didn't really pick up on a lot of the reasonings behind. Why are men? Character is so lax about everything.. it's revealed multiple times that there are many generations for as long as people can remember almost every inheritor of the magi bloodline Is pacifistic either by choice or force when it comes to the other magi. It makes a lot of sense that our main character doesn't really have ambition to strive for anything more. Because he doesn't know what's out there. He's a clueless 18 year old at the start of the novel. Who realized he has great powers or supposedly. Because he doesn't even know what he can do. Because for all he's known. Every person who was like him was supposedly evil. and what else would you do if you're 18 and in a crime family trying to make a living to get by well if you find out that your power can be used to make money. By duplicating it essentially, that's what you're going to do. and that really sets the tone for our main character's personality. he isn't someone with great ambition or someone who needs to do everything in the world. He's someone who needs to enjoy himself. And unfortunately, that doesn't include becoming the most Powerful person in the world as quickly as you can. you very clearly wants to enjoy himself. And after becoming a demon, it's entered at multiple times that he is at least somewhat influenced through his soul. Even if it doesn't heavily. the main reason being. Lie is more sexual side. Comes out when it comes to teasing the witches. Or even as lovers. Sure, some of the innuendoes can get a bit odd because you don't know if they're talking about something strictly magic related. Or if it's a sexual in your window. Disguise behind magic talk. But honestly, if you think about it as a sexual in your window, then it's gonna be a sexual in your window, but if you think about it as magic. It's gonna be magic since there are multiple semi are 18 chapters where the author very clearly shows what the differences between the quite literal sexual stuff. And the less sexual stuff
Have you even read the novel jfc. People keep bringing up “being a battery” what are you guys going on about; it’s a magi ritual that allows for the power of one to go to many and it flows either way. He would be just as much of a “battery” as the witches in the ritual would be He obviously tries to hide that he’s a magi, but he got found out pretty early on by the principle of the school and then also got transformed into a “demon” which basically means he no longer needs to hide it…read the novel please, or at least comprehend it “Forced to become a familiar” literally got him bonded to the two women that he had an intimate interest in before it even happened instead of dying. Oh no, he gets more powerful by having the two women he likes be connected to him…oh the humanity!! How come the big strong male can’t just take over the world and declare dominance!!!
he's still a literal slave
