As a sequel to LotM, Circle of Inevitability will have big shoes to fill to live up to how good the previous book is. Since we will now be going away from Klein as the protagonist, it will also be interesting to see how Lumian, CoI's protagonist will live up to his predecessor. After finishing Volume 1, I would say that Cuttlefish still has the secret sauce. With numerous twists and turns, the finale of Vol 1 - Nightmare gave an interesting introduction to Lumian and what his motivations are moving forward. The first volume showed the difference between Klein and Lumian as characters and their inherent motivations. It will be interesting how Cuttlefish plans to develop Lumian further and how he plans to incorporate LotM's supporting characters in the story. As of right now, my most favorite parts of the book is seeing how our beloved characters from LotM has grown since the end of the book. Anyways, if anyone is reading this review, I have just finished Volume 1 and would whole-heartedly recommend a read of this book if you enjoyed LotM. Cuttlefish did also mention before that he wanted this book to be readable even though you didn't read any of LotM. Although that might be the case, I don't know how enjoyable this book will be. There were alot of info-dumps at early chapters to allow this to happen - these helped refresh LotM readers on the world but also explained to new readers on these info. I think this consideration is an inherent drawback of being a sequel book. Anyways, that's all for my review of Circle of Inevitability. I hope that future volumes will be as good if not better than in LotM. Praise be to Mr Fool!
