The first of the new batch that I have read. This one is interesting. We have the concept of luck that all protagonists seem to have in abundance. This is not saying that the author creates several different options giving each a value based and weights chance based on luck. Then rolls a dice to determine the outcome. No the authors arbitrarily assign seemingly impossible positive lucky events over and over again to most protagonists. In this story instead of going that route, we have the protagonist getting a lucky trait that allows him to improve his overall luck as well as to leverage his luck towards increasing the odds of unlikely events occurring. From improving the success rate of various procedures to improving the likelihood of a low probability event that improves his bodies talent permanently. We start off with this guy transmigrating into a somewhat precarious situation in he is in a female disciples room when she then brings her fiance to break their engagement. His presence offends the powerful male and the female now has him on a leash as she is who now provides protection from the male. Normally this would not be all that bad, except that our MC also has a 'system' style interface that allows him to see himself and others. Hers shows that she must be a spy and a demonic cultivator wanting to use him as a cauldron. Fortunately for our MC he is able to steel a certain amount of 'luck value' from those who create some sort of misfortune for him. With this ability his involvement with the demonic female cultivator is not a terrible thing at least not on the short term, as her use of him does not cause him permanent damage at least for now. From this point he goes and joins the alchemy division of the sect. This allows him to fully leverage his luck manipulation talent to build himself up in preparation for separating himself from the female demonic cultivator. From this point forward he is working on his skills, talent, and cultivation level for the next several years. The female leaves after 4 months of using him, which allows him to work on his own cultivation while leveraging his luck to help him. Her being a demonic cultivator he is afraid that if he improves his root talent without some sort of potential cause she mite be able to sense the change and get suspicious. Overall from my perspective I love this story. He is not a protagonist character who has amazing luck where everything is automatically going to go his way. Instead the concept of him manipulating his luck in non-consumable ways satisfies me as a reader.
