Review at ch 40: The novel is average till now, so i give it 5.8/10 overall. Regression has become a common theme now, and even villain regressing has been done, albeit much lesser. The character of mc, who is the villain, sets this story different from others. And i didn't liked his character so much, effectively decreasing my opinion of overall novel. He is shown as ultra emotionless, yet arrogant boy, who is somehow genius and so his arrogance is justified, according to author. And i dont like such characters. The way he treats his sister, it's not good. Such mc could have been okay in other stories, but this is a regression story, and regression means making past better, not repeating those mistakes. When author tells the story of first timeline, how mc became such a villain and how his sister became so distant, that might explain his character better. Still, I have to praise author, his writing quality is good. And if he keeps on improving, and gets a better story, author can write much better.

According to modern take on villains, most villains are formed because of circumstances, revenge etc. And this also seems to be the case here, as the mc was insistent on revenge in first life. And now since he is getting second chance, he should do things differently, then only a story of second chance will make sense. mc seemed too insistent on revenge in first life, but he is still neglecting his sister in second life. That's the problem I had. Moreover even if he was a villain, does he need to be so arrogant? Arrogance is given to him as a trait from birth by the author, and I don't like such characters
Yeah so you're just an idiot if you keep reading you'd realize the mc has pure spatial affinity so his emotions are messed up. (and then he's just a real villain not one of those fake villains who need a reason to be mean, so the Mc has no excuse to be mean and that's good)

I have to agree, the MC feels like he is all over the place and villain. Also he does not come off a villain. I mean he got a nickname for being pushed into a pool and almost drowning. 1. If the MC is so smart why does not know how to swim. 2. why is he at the pool if he does not know how to swim. 3. Why does the author even have this kind of flash back to begin with.

I admit that now this book disappoints me because: - It got too long for nothing - Too repetitive and boring - The MC has transformed from villain to anti-hero - Romance doesn't even really work Neutral Evil -> Anti-Hero (Neutral Evil / Neutral Chaotic = 50%/50% )

Because the author is a beginner author, if you want good novels with real notes / real commentary you should go to scribblehub because on scribblehub instead of receiving 4.75 like on webnovel I don't see going over 4.4 there. (Novels below 4.5 on scribblehub aren't exactly great and are actually mediocre )

Situation makes a Villain not the other way around... The guy is rotten to the core ,not like I care I have seen worse.

I put this in here to clarify the doubts as well as misinterpretation of the MC by those who might have skimmed through the chapters and not paid enough attention to see the changes in the MC.While he's still somewhat cold and distant on the ouside, he does start caring for those around him, in his own way, of course. Asher is kind of Sociopathic Psychopath. he always saw the world in black and more black, he doesn't care about his family, sister or his only friend he sees everyone as his subordinates or pawns He says that, but truly there's more to it, for example, in his past life when Damian(His Best Friend) sacrificed himself to save Asher his last words to asher were 'be more kind to Amelia'. Asher is saying that he doesn't care about him, yet when he needed to kill Amelia(His sister) when she was against him, he got flashback from his last words and spared her for some reason, if he really saw him as a pawn then why would he make risky decision of sparing Amelia that ultimately leaded to his death? Around age 7, out of nowhere Asher has started developing unnatural immense bloodlust/madness that grows stronger with age and power, only when he lets his bloodlust take control, we can see emotions like crazy,happiness,Anger and excitement(for upcoming battles). We know that Asher is not really a true evil person he is just different. We see in flashback to his childhood that he tried to make himself normal as a kid he tried to read books on how to make himself human, but nothing really worked out. He is like a kid who is forced to be evil by his unnatural emotions that he tried to repress his entire life. *His relationship with his sister, as well as those he allows to get close to him, does get better with his regression, while he does not express it through words, he does show it through his actions. Him having affinity with the space element and using it, it is only a minor cause of his madness. His emotionless behavior, as well as his uncontrollable Bloodlust/Killing intent, has yet to be truly understood and explained. There is speculation through unconfirmed hints that he might be linked to Chaos itself. Whether it is an entity/being or some form of power that is.* -It's up to you whether you want to give it a shot or not. -
