He willingly gives over his powers to athena for no reason even though he knows it is wrong. I believe the author is doing this because he believes Poseidon is too powerful. Which is stupid.

Horses are his divine animal tho so it is his a major part of his divinity they are also his followers.

It doesn’t matter he gained it back but the fact that he willingly gave it away in the first place that is the problem as it is a major turn off as even the dumbest and dense mc would do this
