In general long novel can become quite boring without romance (especially for me). So is it gonna be one of those romances just for the sake of having his 'queen' , and no actual progression?

Whoever it is, the love interest will be a character, a person. She will not be a story convenience, nor will she be horribly written. The romance will be natural, rather than forced and cliché. As for how long until then? I don't quite know yet. I'll write a few female characters and see which one the fans (and I) approve of the most. It could be 200 chapters in, 500 chapters in, 1000 chapters in, or even 50 chapters in. Alaric deserves someone who can make him happy and aide him in the field, not a plot device.
