You must live in an ideal world or something. I don’t think there is anything wrong with it in the story. No one’s life intrinsically (Idek if I’m using that word right tbh tell me if it’s wrong) holds more value than anyone else’s but it is human to choose your own life over someone else’s. You can dislike that as much as you want but it is true. Sure some people would choose to die instead of killing but pick any random person on the street and give them the same option.
