Don’t get how someone who’s understands the source material can come away with Rias beind. She’s a bit lazy a bit of a princess but all and all treats her peerage a lot better then she had to. Their is a reason her whole peerage loves her

by treating well you mean ignoring all of their problems then yes. She did treat them well. She gave them a home, food and clothes. But all of them still had a lot of psychological problems, they need therapy, a lot of it. Instead she left them alone, hoping for the problem to fix itself. Which it did by the protagonist Issei

She was also like 13 years old when she met most of them. Would probably throw that criticism more on her family not ergo not recognizing the issues. And taking care of them early. Just saying Rias as a charecter gets a lot of hate in alot of story’s and comment sections and she really was pretty overall overall good Just like the common trope in fanfics of she let issie die or even planned his death to reincarnat him. In the anime it almost looks premeditated but in the LN it was more just a happy coincidence she ended up with the boosted gear

truth is, they were Rias pets, not equals or friends, pets, the moment she renamed 2 of her peerage members anyone from the family should have done something, and she never regretted renaming people, age, situation, etc... Just excuses, the entire peerage system is evil, those are just excuses that do not change anything.
