haha figured that would be how it would go as soon as I read that the author doesn't like Rias. Would be nice if authors read the source material before writing fanfics, or at least avoid using fanon and ruining the characters.

I read the LN and I still don't like her at all whatsoever. I suppose it's all opinion based though, I also don't read any DXD fanfics besides this one. Maybe he attitude is a bit exaggerated but she does have those problems in the LN to a Lesser extent. After all she did let Issei die even though she knew he was being targeted, she had her familiar give him the flier just before it happened.

You haven't read the LN then. She didn't know he was being targeted, the flier part was explained as their meeting of fate. She knew about the fallen angels but didn't know what they were there for. She didn't even know he had a sacred gear, only that something must be special about him because of the fallen angels targeting him. The anime made all of this look intentional on her part, but it was all shown and explained as coincidence/fate in the LN, so did you truly read it?

someone has already explained all of this for people that has only watched the anime, read it if you want to know why you are wrong.

it also obvious that it wasn't based on the LN when he mentioned akeno's hair color is violet.

thank you for this. i loathe Rias bashing since it's all so unnecessary. I mean there are really people out there that blame her for the mental health of her peerage and not "dealing with their trauma" when she herself is the same age or only a year or two older than some of them at most and she recruited them when she wasn't even a teenager yet. not to mention she did actually help all of them quite a bit since Shirone/Koneko was near catatonic when she was given to Rias and before she got her new name. like seriously I completely believe most DxD fics nowadays are written by people that haven't actually read or even watched the anime in several years and have simply forgotten the entire story by now.

they tend to forget that the setting is made like this, it is natural that in harem stories the companions have problems for the protagonist to help them and win their love I always wonder why they attack rias? while other characters like esdeath are much more loved even though it is worse

even worse when they jump on the "Sona is better than rias" train when she's barely even in the story in the first place. not to mention she suffers from many of the exact same issues they claim Rias has. Honestly, I think most people just don't want to like her because she's the main lead. It happens pretty often with stories like these.

Many people hate Rias but accept the three fallen angels with one wing (I forgot their names. One black haired girl, 1 blue haired girl and 1 blonde girl.). They hated Rias but accepted the three girls into the harem. I really laugh at this.

Wait isn't that the point of fanfic? To write your own version of the universe? So it's up to the author for the details of the universe... Personally I don't hate Rias, even with her fault she's still a teenager, a kid, so it's understandable...

This is a fanfic of the anime, it was put in the Anime section for a reason.

You are trying to sound smart but it's not working. There is no Light Novel section. The only other one you could use is Books & Literature, but no anime fan is going to look there. Putting it in the anime section makes it easier to find.

It doesn’t matter whether you look there or not. What matters is that u assumed this would be based on the LN, when it’s clearly not in that section. I don’t see how you can imply I’m dumb, while assuming stuff with no facts.

I didn't assume that it would be though? Read my comment again. I said I wish authors would read the source material before writing, or at least not use fanon. Meaning they can use the anime if they want, just don't use knowledge that fans pulled out of nowhere . My bad for the beginning part of my other comment, I was kind of in a bad mood lol.

Reading all these comments are satisfying, I really hate Rias bashing or any characters that are misunderstood getting hated for no reasons except for the author weird hate for them. This is why every time I see a character bashing I search up who they are and what they did before going on.
