I like the idea but I dislike all the cultivation BS that gets added in. I mean, I don't mind that it takes place in a cultivation sect, but why does a system based on cooking reward him with cultivation? Also, adding these little cultivation bonuses to food feels a bit reductive. People should be eating the food because it's good, not because they want an off-brand health potion. This could've been an incredible slice of life novel, but the author couldn't bring himself to drop the power fantasy elements, and the resulting story is mediocre at best.

LIKEThe ecstassy of cultivation trumps any possible flavors of food brought from mortal level ingredients. One could assume that people mainly go for the cultivation benefits, the average cultivator, but they will still be appreciative of the good flavors that accompany the benefits of this kind of cultivator food. The story would only stay in the lowest tiers of cultivation if the food is just that, mortal food. Unless you want to have a slice of life story featuring that kind of idea about staying in the lowest cultivation levels and making connections with above average cultivators (which is not really possible as that doesn’t sell fast in webnovel).
