I don't see why writing a psychopathic character without remorse is better than a hero. All fanfiction writers think they are original when they write such a character, but they don't. It is commonplace and often poorly developed.

LIKEIt’s not that common in that they’re vastly outnumbered by the amount of hero fics. The reason there even are so many, imo, is that a remorseless/dispassionate mc fic is far more difficult to get right and not just become filled with boring senseless killing but when they’re done right it’s just 👌🏼
I agree with that, on the contrary I like when mcs with a somewhat wobbly moral are written. The problem is that it is very often badly done, and it very often allows scripting facility that does not allow the development of characters. I think on the other hand that writing an mc with good morals allows you to write an even better antagonist because the antagonist is there to counter the heroes on all aspects. It also allows the author to surpass himself to write an antagonist at the height of his hero. BatIt also allows the author to surpass himself to write an antagonist at the height of his hero. Batman example-man exampleIt also allows the author to surpass himself to write an antagonist at the height of his hero. A good example is the duo. Batman-Joker
