The character and storyline were going really great right up until the author tried to be edgy when he picked out the character's last name, as a Christian that felt more like a slap in the face than anything else.

I mean, it's weird, but not that bad. Truly a weird thing to do unless the main character and his family are not portrayed as very evil though.

I also like how I’m instantly a bigot. When I have no problem with your beliefs I find religion a beacon of morality in fact. And is definitely needed. but rating a novel 1 star for a name is excessive. Just my opinion which is unimportant.

I love one punch man but it is a comedic anime and the punch line is that he can one shot anyone. And this isn’t a comedic story and certainly can’t be compared to OPM so it has to actually have longevity and world building. There are way too many stories with OP MC’s now. So even though this novel isn’t great you can’t try to put it side to side with a great anime like one punch man.

Also being immortal is just not being able to die which does not indicate the power level of someone. So maybe you have a misconception on what an immortal is because it isn’t like ban from seven deadly sins.
