Story is pretty grating to read. I don't mind if MC is not with Tang San, but he seems to have absolutely insane obsession with Tang San, Hao and just about every original character. I mean 80% of story seems to be some sort of internal rant about one thing or another being stupid and whatnot, it's really annoying and just doesn't bring anything to the story. First part of the story was all about mc ranting about Tang San and Hao, and when they met Tang San's master, he started constant rant about him too, after that it went to basing Xiao wu moment they met.... It's just so desperate and dumb. If author wanted to write mc as antagonist, it's fine, or someone that just doesn't hang out with Tang San, again fine. But author just seems to have some unreasonable bitter resentment against fictional characters. And story is really just author ranting with mc's monologue.

Welcome to the world of douluo fanfics, I think the Chinese have caught a disease of complaining about Tang San's hypocrisy, like I really like Douluo, I think the world setting is really cool, just like my favorite Zhu Zhuqing, but I can't finding a fanfic without the MC constantly complaining about the original characters, in my opinion the reason there are so many Chinese douluo fanfics is just for the Chinese to vent their need to criticize the behavior of others
I recommend you to read This Tang San Is Different. It is funny because, there are moments of others calling Tang San, mc, hypocrite; but they are the hypocrite ones!
