I like the FL and ML didn't automatically fall in love but found similarities and grew to respect each other. strong fl and interesting development on the protagonist of novel heaven blessings are not infinite and harming others unintentional is no excuse for being ignorant and selfish.

I've completely read this book and I can assure you that it's barely average. Here are the pros : - The Fl is smart and calm. - The Ml is calm and sympathetic. - The enemies aren’t brain dead . - The fake daughter isn't easy to deal with because she's the world’s chosen one( or something like this). Let's go down to the cons now : - The pace is slow . The chapters are nor short nor long , however they feel boring because events seem to take forever to be dealt with. As an illustration, i take the fact that the Fl only gets married in the last chapter. Also , the story feels stretched after a hundred chapters( By the way , i skimmed to the end at some point), because the fake daughter and her fiance just become so annoying ! - The characters are not that appealing. First, the Fl is too passive. Sure Gu yanfei is smart , strong and calm. However , her not reacting at all( or reacting late) in almost every situation just makes her annoying because she seems too passive. If one looks closely , he / she will realize that the times she confronts people directly are rares . Second , the enemies are annoying . The antagonists are smart but the fact that they almost all despise the Fl for no good reason is just unerving. Plus , as i said previously , Fl doesn't really stand for herself and mostly ignores people , which makes it so that almost every chapters are focused on these antagonists' thoughts and/or plots , which just makes my blood pression rise up. Third, the Fl's older brother . I appreciate him as he is one of the few who stand up for Fl. However him immediately putting aside yunrong appears to me to be really unreal. Who can stop loving a sibling he/she had grew up with just because he/she discovered that they weren’t linked by blood ? I command his loving attitude towards the Fl and his desire to make up for all the hardships she suffered. But still , is it necessary/ truly realistic that he immediately rejects yunrong ? Beside all this , Yunrong and the Gu family's hypocrisy is just unbearable the more you go through the book. - Certain things aren't explained clearly. It's a good thing to let the reader understand somethings for himself /herself. However , there’s a difference between making one work his/her brain and confusing him/her. Honestly, it's thanks to some comments that i came to understand certain things that happened . - The translation is lacking. "British family " ? The british royal family has nothing to do with the Fang family in the book. so why translate the original word when it clearly feels wrong ? Please translator, correct your mistakes, because when we pay , we await a certain level of translation . All in all , this book started well but ended up boring. If anything, you won’t lose anything if you don’t read it( i doubt it's even good enough to be taken as a book to pass time).

I really liked the book and I would definitely recommend. Don't get me wrong, this book has it's flaw, but I like that author connected such a long story well and it was MUCH better than some of the reborn/transmigration romance fiction Chinese novels I have read. Here is a detailed review: CONS: 1) Translation & Grammatical error: Names, relationship, grammar, gender and pronoun are messed up. And the usage of some of the real world countries name like "British" Manor , "Turkey" dessert or "Persian" silk was very awkward to read in a fiction! 2) Excessive description: Honestly, at times it was beautiful and the metaphors & comparisons formed a vivid picture. But most of the time, they were VERY REPEATITIVE. The hyperbolic and over description of the ML and FL's beauty was mind shatteringly boring. And the worst was the over descriptions of trivial things connected to leads but big matters were ended in a line or two like the last battle's aftermath, Li Yunrong's marriage, the romantic moments between the leads etc 3) Casual racism and colorism: I know it is common in Chinese novels but deliberately showing people of lower status to be dark, small minded and ugly and the only beautiful ones are white skinned is very racist! 4) Awkward details: There were some strange things that just came out of nowhere & become important part in the story like Li Yunrong & Emperor Taizu being transmigrator, Emperor Taizu's notebook, Emperor Taizu being saved by dragon, Chu yi's sister, Eldest Princess Feng Yang's legend, Emperor Taizu wanting Fengyang to be King, etc 5) Unrealistic relationship dynamic: Gu Yuan turning cold to Yunrong even after growing up with her, Yuan being suddenly overly attached to his newly back sister and not even being as attached or caring towards the older sister, etc. It would have been better and believable if he slowly lost his interest after their TRUE colors started showing 7) Dragging the story with unnecessary side story: There was some weird tangent, the story went and started telling story of side characters like Wei Wan, or Lu Qin and Hua family, or Zheng family silver etc. I would have preferred it if author focused a bit more on developing the romance or use it to tie some lose ends like Baili Yin's case, Gu Yuan and Yunzhen's life, etc PROS 1) For me, one of the biggest pros was that no character was dumb. Whether protagonist or antagonist or even side characters, they were all smart and active. That made me look forward to the development of the story 2) Fleshed out characters: Though the FL was a bit passive about everything, I found most character believable which is saying something considering all Chinese characters are written cliche and 1D. 3) Likeable ML: I have always been horrified by how much Chinese novels especially reborn/rebirth novel focus on normalizing emotional manipulation, stalking and abusive behavior of ML. But here the ML was very well written and was really likeable. He trusted his woman, didn't get into her personal space, showed her respect and treated her like equals, always had frank and open dialouge with her, was protective but not possessive, was understanding, & courted her sweetly and patiently, making it more heart felt. There was NO stalking, NO abusive behavior, NO deception, & NO sexual harassment. He is by far my favorite Chinese Reborn novel ML. 4) Story development and connecting dots: The story did dragged and went to weird tangents at times but it never got completely off the main story and author did try to connect every side character story with main plot. The story followed opened with a revenge plot and stuck to it till the end 5) Beautiful depiction of female frdship: I am tired of reading stories where FL is always pitted against other women over the ML. As if other women have no other job in life except being jealous and having cat fights. So here the frdship of Wei Jiaoniang, Fan Mushuang, Lu Qin and Yanfei was actually touching and even fun 6) Spiritual power and limits: I was truly glad that the FL n ML were not omnipotent. They had to face lot of scheming, disbelief and limitations of being abandoned by heaven. Many of the time both had to rely on their cool headedness and rationality to fight with the situation especially Chu Yi. It makes you appreciate the leads more It is definitely worth a read and was agood story overall

The betrothal gift is two million bucks, not a single cent less. Jiang Yu is already eighteen years old and can get married now. Send the money to my card, and this matter is settled!" Jiang Yu looked at her mother, who was talking non-stop on the negotiation table. She watched as her mother named her price as she sold Jiang Yu. Jiang Yu could not believe it. Eighteen years ago, they brought the wrong baby home from the hospital, and Jiang Yu, the real daughter of a wealthy family, ended up in an orphanage until a year ago. However, Jiang Yu had no idea how great her mother's hatred for her was. On the day she turned eighteen, her mother 'sold' her with a named price. Jiang Yu said, "If you want to marry your daughter to someone else, it should be Jiang Ran. I'm your real daughter. You're the one who mistakenly brought Jiang Ran home!" Her mother replied, "Shut up. I wish I hadn't given birth to you. You've brought nothing but shame to me!" Jiang Ran said, "Big Sis, everything Mom does is for your own good. Don't blame Mom." Her mother said, "I'm convinced she's nothing but a debt collector who's come to me to collect her debts! Either you give me two million bucks, or you get married obediently!" Jiang Yu left home in despair. By a freak combination of factors, she found herself accidentally marrying a Mr. CEO. From then on, the thirty-year-old man pampered his eighteen-year-old wife to the heavens. The little girl said, "Mister, someone bullied your wife!" The man, "Which incompetent fool is so blind that he dares to bully you?"
