LIKEMc is just beginning her journey so will experience new things, change her way of thinking and will start progressing so what you are saying is correct about the present state of the novel but it is only a little into her story at the age of fourteen. She has certain reasons related to the pursuit of her goals that have her stuck on the idea of keeping busy researching and building her power while not standing out but it is also due to the present era. Her powers may be strong but they are not unlimited so they she can fend off constant attacks from witch hunters, demons etc.
She lacks a physique that has regeneration or powerups through taking damage and undergoing constant combat so she can hardly go around picking fights when she is still in an immature body or recovering the state her body was in during her younger years.dying to a crossbow bolt or a sword is still possible if she runs out of magic power or lets her guard down so exposing herself is not a good idea.
Because the nail that sticks out gets hammered down. Any story where the MC is absurdly talented basically requires them to stay lowkey if they don't want to be murdered. Otherwise, it's unrealistic, and thus would would not be the "good story" you want. The only exception is when the MC either has the backing of the absolute power of their world, or they are the absolute power. But in that case, there are few such novels that could have a great power system. After all, why bother writing a good power system if your character is already at the top of it?
