Would actually be a good story, unfortunately the Mc is passive and submissive, the story would be much better if he were more dominant, unfortunately, it looks like it would get worse and the Mc even more passive

MC is just super submissive. There's to many huge time skips. Additionally the novel starts to feel like a game novel or vrmmo novel as it starts to just become about dungeons and quests. instead of having a proper story it feels like a assortment of quests
