Decent read, probably the best of this batch. I'd ignore the title, it's a joke. This is a simulation system novel but unlike most of the other ones this one feels a lot less monotonous, the system also doesn't feel as random. For example there are 5 fixed types of rewards the MC can get from simulating and the rewards actually make a lot of sense so it's definitely better thought out than most of them. This novel also does have it's absurd and actually humorous moments like the gigolo talent, the fact that he can simulate the same simulation multiple times to stack rewards, the absurd thought process of our protagonist etc. This really does add a lot of charm to the novel and I think it'd be lifeless without it. There's also a bit of an actual sense of danger too unlike 90% of other simulation novels our protagonist is actively putting himself in danger in order to get benefits to live longer in the long term. It's better than playing it safe and living miserably so it makes a lot of sense. Somewhat generic setting and characters but I honestly don't mind since the execution is rather respectable and a bit amusing at times. This has both personality and potential. 3.5/5.

LIKEI have read it and while I think positively of it (it is well written and what I've read of it was very promising), pet taming/training novels just aren't my cup of tea. I definitely see the appeal, the novel has good vibes but I've tried to force myself to like pet novels but to no avail. Sometimes enjoyment depends not on some sort of objective point of view but just personal taste/preferences.
SineNomine:Have you read 'Pet Simulator?' I've tried the mtl, and it's pretty interesting. Stopped updating for a while now, so that may put you off.
well sadly it doesn't matter if a book is good or not to this company, what matters is if it sells and right now the #1 and #2 book that are selling the most is #1 After Turning Into A Little Skeleton, I Got Contracted By A Goddess, and #2 Emulator: Opening Talent Super Gigolo. These Books have the highest odds of getting picked while #3 and #4 have the lowest odds which are #3 Alternate World: I Started With Two SSS Templates and #4 Cultivating In Secret Beside A Demoness. Any other book below these are not getting picked unless the author is really famous and made a deal with the company such as the book Outside of Time by Er Gen.
Rhongomynaid:I just read it, it's well written. This batch is pretty good relative to previous ones, we've got 4 novels that aren't bad.
There is a silver lining here. Hear me out. I don't care if the better written novels don't get picked anymore. I remember reading a review on a certain show I will not name that praised how generic it was and I kinda think this applies to the junk food novels we get as well. Here's a quote from the review: "This is going to come across as extremely condescending and insincere, but one thing I genuinely really appreciate about (The Show), and the deciding factor which I think makes the show so easily accessible to such a vast audience, is that it’s so shallow and superficial, it requires no commitment and no real attention to enjoy. That’s an insult packaged within a very thin compliment, I understand that, but I’m being very genuine when I say this, because season one of (The Show) for me was a twenty six week long nap. I mean, seriously, I slept through so much of that first season, I truly do not remember even an hour’s worth of its content." The same applies here. If I've read 200 chapters of something well written and then a year later there's now 800 total chapters, I'd have to reread a lot of those first 200 chapters because I'd lose 99% of my enjoyment if forget important plot points etc. On the other hand with junk food novels I could read ch 1-200, come back a year later forgetting 99% of the novel but still continue off of 200 without compromising on enjoyment. I'm honestly fine with this. If I want to read something well written, I'd go read some classic Japanese novel like Zaregoto or something.
