There is word that describes a person attitude that is not immature or mature attitude. It is either one or the other. And I hope you not foolish enough to lie to me and to yourself the author attitude to criticism is "mature". But if you do find a word that describes the author attitude, not immature but not mature either. Do let me know, would love to know such word. The author showing his true colour/character is the fact he has a strange grudge against a fictional character, name Yamcha. He turn one of the respectable character in the OG series (before Toriyama butcher and neglect him in Z series and its sequel) into a half arse comic relief (or I assume it is comic relief) and plot convenient for the reason the story is following the canon route and y'know anywhere but the canon route, basically lazy writing. Yamcha is probably not even a comic relief considering how 2D little depth in his character, acting like a chinese arrogant character, seriously the whole story is written like those chinese novel filled with arrogant character from left to right. Is there any reason for Yamcha IQ to turn into room temperature other than plot convenient a.k.a lazy writing? Nope. Not that I can think of. Oh, and he also die despite the fact Yamcha is a veteran martial art fighter who received warning to not underestimated the enemies. Also can we talk about how the Gohan, the MC just deliberately was never there when the Saiyan arrive, allowing them to wipe a city from the face of the planet and fighting the Z warrior resulting Yamcha death and telling Vegeta about the Dragonball? What was it that Gohan while the Saiyan pods arrive in his planet? Was he jerking off or something? Literally epitome of lazy writing. Which is nothing wrong about putting half arse effort into their story. it is a fanfiction, but to pretend their writing is anything but lazy writing is so shameless.
