Well, even though MC can get "maxed level comprehension skill" in any technique, it doesn't mean that MC gets max level skills.. MC is just "comprehend" it.. For example, if you look at a coding book with 10 volumes and you get MC power, you immediately understand and memorise from A to Z/comprehend fully all 10 volumes.. But can you use it? No, because you need to write it on the computer to start the coding before using it.. It is the same situation as MC. Even though he fully comprehends the technique, he can't use it right away due to unique reasons like his soul still weak or his body cannot transform into bird unless he transforms some of his bone in a certain way.. Some stronger techniques will take him a long time to cultivate it into max power (take many years). So, MC hides from the world in his "prison" and learns powerful techniques from the tombs, unbeknown to the rest of the world.. Well, the author let the MC live peacefully in his prison.. If I am the author or MC, I will spend my time "looking" for strong techniques and focus on cultivating it.. MC basically has no limitations by how much he can comprehend the technique.. So MC can just look for strong technique.. There are millions of stele/technique can be learned, but MC is ONLY comprehend ONE TECHNIQUE per day.. And that one technique is not strong.. He sometimes spends his time on weak new techniques. MC does not even make an effort to look for strong technique within millions of stele.. Even after 20 years in prison, he let it slow and steady.. So, I stopped reading it.. MC grow speed? Fast.. At ch31, MC is already in the highest realm that could exist at that time.. Love story, romance? For MC, don't exist yet.. OP MC from the beginning? Well, MC barely had any conflict.. As I said before, MC lives peacefully.. After he reaches the highest realm, MC no longer hides, and MC is overwhelming all other cultivators.. MTL? I only read until ch76.. Until then, this novel has been translated in perfect ways.. I'm not sure after that ch77 and above.. MC characteristic? Merciless.. Not hardworking person.. More to passive type instead aggressive type.. His motto is like, "I only take action if you want hurt my close people in sect." If outside the sect, MC like "nah."
