Would have had potential but the author gave the main character unearned strength. Has kage level strength but never had a single life and death battle. introduced a love intrest too early. Honestly a waste of my precious time.

Ehhhh not really, he’s turning more into kaguya really Basically he might have that strength but he has no experience in how to use that strength. The same thing happened with kaguya basically they both only know how to use their overwhelming power to subdue oppenents and no subtlety at all. So even though he has kage level body stats and extreme chakra an experienced chunnin and or jounin could still kill him. In my opinion thats the mc right now. Now the whole thing with the love interest already exposed same thing happened in Naruto with Hinata but the writers used Hinata and Narutos love story as kind of comedic relief throughout the manga and anime. This is just my opinion, in fact i think for his first fanfic hes doing quite well.
Kaguya was the worst villan yet in Naruto as opposed to Madara who was a great villan through loss, struggle, and a strong philosophy. The main character is not gaining power in any meaningful way. Your saying that the story is going good is not allowing the author to grow or think critically of his story.

Na im comparing how they both got their power, kaguya ate the chakra fruit and got insta op while the mc is basically the same his power is making him overconfidant and neglecting skill for power in my opinion.

and the journey one ... well too much journey for me now so I have no problem with that. and ff is not about journey, but author perspective of the whole verse and whatever he want to do with his OC, I'd read novel instead of ff if I want proper storyline and character development. in ff I don't care either op or weak to strong as long mc have brain cells and not to much bs plot.
