the grammar was pretty solid in the few chapters I've read but I can't stand the MC. Still it's worth trying, it's probably enjoyable if you don't find him unbearable.

this had initially been released entirely for free on this site under the name of 'reaper of the martial world' but the readership was really low since it wasn't contracted so it got suppressed by the algorithm and webnovel recommend a re-release when awe decided to contract the story.

can't disagree with that, Awespec just seems to love writing unusually smart protagonists, I ain't complaining though, I love reading those myself.

chief those MCs aren't unusually smart he just repeats that fact dozens of times, without actually ever doing anything smart that isn't just him understanding fast or manipulating people in ways that are not based in human logic. this saves awe the trouble of coming up with smart schemes like we could see in 'the legendary mechanic' or 'the novels extra' but it also doesn't prove anything about their intelligence besides him saying they are big brained. I would go so far as to say that awe is smart while his characters just arent. What awe is actually good in is coming up with cool and complex power systems.

well... I can't disagree, but I can't wholeheartedly agree either... Mainly because imo, the characters of the aforementioned novels do have great foresight, much better than awespec's characters, but that very ability to recall and connect events and facts requires a whole other kind of genius in and of itself. Foresight is great for planning in wars, and the ability to recall, connect and draw apt conclusions is great for planning in battles while also being great for countering plans. Both are different kinds of smart and comparing them in the domain of only one of them is rather unfair.

of course, unless you are talking about the thought that the authors put into the plans that their characters come up with. then that's just the authors doing what they do well...

awe is fantastic in picking up plot lines he foreshadowed and introducing twists and turns, retro actively makeing everything solve perfectly but this imo puts some constraints on his characters to facilitate the developments never truly allowing them to orchestrate the scene like other storys can, which is what i mean when i say that awe is smart and his characters aren't.
