Review Detail of foolishmortals in The Innkeeper

A well paced hidden gem. The cliche subversion, on top of being fresh, is surprisingly well reasoned and logical. i was surprised by several of the choices made by the protagonist, but upon hearing the reasons why instantly made sense. I was impressed that the MC thought of something that made perfect sense in post, but in the moment I'd never once considered! Its a really good service cultivation novel. Each and every side character is not only unique enough to remain memorable despite the large cast, but makes the world feel like a living and breathing universe. the world goes on with or without the main character, he is never once feels like the center of the universe. The worldbuilding really adds to this sense of place within the story. despite the massive, universe-wide scope, the setting never feels underdeveloped or reliant on stereotypes. It feels like a place where people live their lives outside of the main plot. On top of this, I found out within one of the paragraph comments that the author apparently has an excel sheet they use to keep track of the point numbers???? That's some incredible dedication to keeping the numbers accurate, one that while subtle definitely adds to the realism of the story. the only reason it doesn't have as many reviews and what not as it should is that the book is literally 4 months old at the time of me writing this. with time there's no doubt it'd get the recognition it deserves
