I think the story is good. Only have two problems. The first and biggest one is the religion factor within this. It uses a real existing religion and has the main character suck up to that religion. Like it isn't as if the author is just incorporating elements of that religion as inspiration but actually have prayers/blessings/religious practices that are completely unnecessary for fiction. I, as a believer of a completely different religion, have a hard time reading moments where the MC will pray and not feel like I am doing something wrong by reading this. Please, if you are an inspiring author, do not include real religions within your books. The global community is diverse, and while drawing inspiration from your religion can be good, only include prayers and such if isn't a real religion. No offense to anyone who practices the religion within this book,
