I can't help but admire how strikingly subpar this novel is. This novel shockingly unoriginal, there are other novels out there that do this but way better but honestly that goes for a lot of novels on this site. This novel feels however like an off brand version of one of those, like fake meat in a questionable restaurant. Everything about this is boring, shallow, unoriginal and soulless from the characters, cheat, power system, world building just about every aspect of this really. If this novel was a food, it'd be sand. The only thing this novel has going for it is that the translation quality is alright. 0.75/5.

LIKEOff the top of my head I'd say The Most Generous Master Ever and I Am Such An Expert; Why Do I Have To Take In Disciples. While similar in concept the above novels aren't as outrageously insipid as this one.
Omnidoa:what's the better novel?
I cant finish why do I have to take disciples. The MC just annoyed me far too much. He is completely heartless and ungrateful. Plus some of the mental gymnastics he goes through to justify his decisions is truly baffling. I wish there were some novels that strike a balance between low-key and high profile. Knowing when to retreat and when to advance. Not like that MC who has to be dragged to do the smallest thing for people who were good to him.

You probably have read this. 'Top Tier Providence, Secretly Cultivate for a Thousand Years'. It's the only webnovel I'm currently reading. The mc is extremely low-profile with a smidge of high-profile actions.

I’ve already read that novel and to be honest I enjoyed it. However, it seems like other authors saw the success of Top Tier Providence and decided to copy it. Recently WN has been flooded with low quality knock off versions with a focus on low profile MCs.
