Entering the story if you do not know SCP (like myself) you have no understanding what is going on. There is no real explanation of what is going on just horrific event after horrific event. No explanation of characters appearance outside of their fingernails. Knowing that SCP - and having no previous understanding or where to find the source - is the majority of this story as of current, I find the story lacking as a fanfiction. I know recently a new arc for FGO has begun but the question stands do i need to read the previous arc to read the new one? If not then why is it a continuation of the story? If yes then I would say it was executed poorly for anyone who doesn't have canon knowledge.

LIKEI'm going to be as nice about this as possible, because I could not fathom how people like you exist. It's an "SCP" Fanfiction, why are you even on here if you don't know what SCP is? It's like reading a Naruto fic and complaining why are there suddenly super ninjas that can use this mana equivalent of 'Chakra'. As the author, I expect the readers of this fic to have a basic knowledge of the SCP wiki, and so I chose only to explain what a Waifu Catalog is since I imagined not many would know. Beyond that, once more, this is a fanfiction. If it was original fiction then your last point would be valid. A fanfiction is written specifically for the fans of a series to enjoy. Basic understanding of the series are assumed.
I see so its a wiki of what? I guess I will try to google it. When I googled SCP by itself it brought me to a bunch of random things that were unrelated to fiction. My first point still stands btw. IF you do not know what SCP is you are just thrown into the deep end. I kind of likened it in my mind to X-Files or a Law and Order set up, maybe even creepy pasta. Also there is no SCP tag so going in I simply thought it was a cross-over multiversal story. The only mention of SCP in your summary is at the end and only briefly. I found your story going to the Fanfiction then most recent and figured I would give it a try. I wasn't trying to complain either. I was simply giving criticism letting you know a flaw in your style. I agree with your point about you should be allowed to assume its a fanfic of this so you don't have to explain but you have a tag for FGO and FGO is in your title so I thought that, that was going to be the main world thus i assumed it was a fanfic of FGO not some SCP. I know what waifu catalog is as it is rather prevalent here on webnovel but before encountering it a few times I had no idea what it was outside of my assumption due to the words being pretty good descriptors.
If you bothered reading the Wikipedia article on 'SCP Foundation', you'd know that it's a collaborative writing project about a secret organization that is responsible for containing anomalous things that defy natural laws. Regarding the lack of SCP tag, have you considered maybe there is no SCP tag? As much as it may surprise someone who reads only the popular stuff, WebNovel has no SCP tag. About your critique of my style. You are literally critiquing every fanfic that doesn't bother explaining their world to their audience. Fanfics don't bother explaining their world to the readers because fundamentally speaking, the author expects the reader to be a fan of the original work. The only case that an author might explain it is if it's some fringe world-building of the original work especially with worlds that have complex magic systems such as Fate. Or if the author wants to pad the chapter for more words. If you know what Waifu Catalog is, then you should know how most long stories that use the Catalog are multiverse travel stories where the protagonist travels to alternate worlds. Given that, and how I have 'Currently in FGO Part 1' in the title of this story, why would you make such an assumption?
Yeah I have figured that out since but it doesn't change my point(s). If you weren't familiar with lets say for example Game of Thrones, Then you read a fanfic about it because it was without a tag for it and the first thing you are introduced to is R'hllor. It doesn't give the fanfic a good foundation. I had googled SCP while trying to read it and could not find anything on a cursory search. I think it is because it is an abbreviation for Secure Contain Protect I also did not know to add foundation. I gave this review to give fair warning to those like me. Thanks for attempting to help me though, I appreciate it.
no I am in support of you as i didn't even know this was an scp fanfiction you are totally in right and reasonable with what you gave as star and review but i just wanted to introduce what is scp to people who may not have this info to get them to like it.
