So he used freaking shok ability to change direction of nuclear missle? I think its not how it works right? Missle should have exploded after first air shok.

LIKEThen why do nuclear weapons not explode when they get transported? The vehicle's engine creates countless vibrations yet they don't explode. Not to mention that when they are transported by trucks. The level of vibrations he used are on the level of those engines. They constantly transferred negligible amounts of kinetic energy to oppose its movement and slow it down, then used it on the side to slowly turn it and finally move and speed it through the portal.
Well this nuke was launched already, so i think it should explode since it was the goal. Another thing is, about the posibility of using gura gura so accurate to change missles direction. In this case since he was so good at control of his power, he could have used air pulling move of Whitebeard(just control it, right?) but author said he would destroy whole New York with that move, and cant control its power.. .. Ehh well my ratle was about hole in the logic of author. In my opinion if he used air shok on missle it should have changed its direction fast and radicaly after first punch or it must explode. That ability was not about accuracity its about power. I doubt Edward ever needed to control it so much.
they probably just calculated the time required for the missile reach the city, added a few seconds for tolerance, if it hits a drone/bird and explodes over friendly territory or enemy territory then that would cause pointless damage they would have to pay for, wether that is through money or war. they do it that way so they can remotely delay or entirely prevent the nuke from going off of something happens. (I'm not a nuke expert, im just putting my ideas in)
Also, you could hit a nuke with a hammer anywhere and it wouldnt explode, the way it explodes is either timed from the moment they drop it (So it explodes in mid air creating most damage). or lack of momentum, if a rocket goes from very fast to absolute standstill then it would detect that as hitting and the detonate it's self
Well, its reasonable but if you read my second comment below, my problem was that MC could not possibly control tremors to the point of changing direction little by little, it shoud either change radicaly, if it is even possible, or missle should fall apart(with or without nuclear explosion was not within my consideration). In any case thanks for information, I am too lazy to look it up.
I know it’s been a while but if your are still interested I have an explanation. Contrary to popular belief, modern explosives are designed with all these factors considered, such as stress and pressure caused by high altitude and wind. This applies even more so for nuclear weapons, they won’t detonate because of micro vibrations. There is a detonated at the tip of the middles which requires a lot of force to trigger, which will then detonate the payload. What I’m trying to say is that modern weapons and explosives are designed with durability in mind and are actually very hard to detonate by say, dropping it on the ground during the loading procedure.
