LIKEOk this isā¦.. ugh 1: author insuting someoneās intelligence is a low blow and does nothing. 2:there is no point for the reviewer to write this because those that believe them wonāt read it anyway. 3: it doesnāt matter if marvel and cultivation canāt mix in either execution or in theory because it is a fanfic. Reincarnation into marvel is a thing that canāt happen and no-one cares. And finally: as a person has already commented Itās not that deep.
its not about liking, it just doesnt work. marvel "magic/energy" power and cultivation are basicaly contradictory.

get some self-esteem... you need it because no one (NOT CHINESE) who loves himself would read stories of cultivation - xianxia - wuxia.

yes but did you read how that chi works? they are complete diferent, why do you think mages need external power in marvel? there are rules.
SkyEmperor101:there literally is internal energy in marvel 'chi'
I think in general speaking rules in work of fiction isnāt going to be a valid argument since one fiction isnāt something we ground up in rules and two even when thereās rules in work of fiction there will always be contradictions or the breaking of rules. Fiction isnāt made to be argue with logic most of the time itās made for you to see a different perspective a different world true rules are establish, but when youāre writing a story the priority isnāt to fully stick with the rule but making the audience feel anticipation. If you were to follow rules to the book then the unique emotion of surprise would be rare since any intelligence reader could deduce the plot without a problem. Anyway while I am saying all of this donāt confuse me to be someone who love this concept because I donāt but as a writer I know for sure that sticking to rules are really difficult since by the end of the day I am one person I am bound to make mistake when writing the story.
no chi doesn't work because there is a limit to most humans and there's never been a proper way to expand it and make it stronger, thus if someone can cultivate it then yes they will become stronger.

Here's the thing, though. Chi techniques in Marvel aren't like in, say, Naruto or Dragonball. They're more grounded, like in real life. Captain America, Shang Chi, Wolverine, or Taskmaster, using chi techniques, tend more towards hitting harder, iron body techniques, or finding a balance when meditating/going through katas. Now, I'm guessing you're thinking of the more impressive folks, like the Immortal Weapons. Iron Fist, Dog Brother, Fat Cobra, Bride of Nine Spiders, and the like. Here's the thing, though: They have far more energy than the normal human because many of their power sources are foreign. Yes, their training has let them harness their extra chi for superhuman feats, but it's still not originally their own. Daniel Rand can't call the power of the Iron Fist with his own will. He's using the dragon's life force, having absorbed it into his own body. Fat Cobra is strong because he's killed so many people, and he's grown stronger with each warrior he's slain. John Amon, the Prince of Orphans, turns into a green mist because of chemicals he was given as a young man. TLDR: CULTIVATION DOESNT WORK

There's literally the "immortal weapons" and martial artists that utilize chi. Most of them are street level, but the immortal weapons have abilities beyond regular martial artists can easily fit in the marvel universe by making the power levels/features more structured and amplifying their abilities
PsyLoRD:but he is right, cultivation doesnt work in marvel universe.

I understand, but it's fanfiction which allows some bending of the rules. It's also easily explainable by turning the "universal energies" to "personal energies." Different universes also have different rules and comics tend to break their own rules all the time anyway. Even if we rule out the immortal weapons, there are people like Lei Kung who are immortal in the sense that they stopped aging.
PsyLoRD:read my other comments, i already adressed everything you said,
I also understand, my problem is not that its IMPOSSIBLE, my problem is, marvel + cultivation is just not a good combo, doesnt matter how much the author bend de rules and whatnot, these two things dont work well together. author is wasting time.

Also, if you change 'universal energies' to 'personal energies' there would be a lot of cultivators (mc would not me the only one). Lei Kung is immortal using external means, he is not a 'true' cultivator.

I am curious you speak plenty of cultivation and marvel not being a good combo which I can see your point. So can you give me an example of a good combo.

You can categorise all the characters in the Marvel Universe to be from 6 group, Technological, Magic, Mutant, Cosmic, Skilled and Science. All of them are a good combo. There are some exceptions to the rule, and people who you could say are 'dual class', but thats about it.

That is understandable, it works in isolated stories but doesn't really make sense when included in a larger narrative
