Okay, first things first, our MC. I get that she had a horrible past and those people were horrible and all, but after she got the system, she’s been dead-set on getting revenge, showing off to her ex, doing all kinds of stuff since she basically has a genie granting her a wish a day by reading. I mean, that’s cool and all, but I was hoping that during the first 10-20th chapters she would at least visit her dad once?? I feel like paying the bills for the removal of her dad’s tumor should have been the number one priority on her list. Like, he’s you’re father? Maybe you could go and ask how he feels, spend some time with him, it’ll lift his feelings knowing that you care. But I guess not. Our MC’s not the sharpest tool in the shed, I suppose. Moving on even though I have SO much to say about her, we got our ML! He’s...about as sharp as a bag of rocks. In the beginning when MC asks for help in making her ex and his uh sugar mommy jealous, after she explains her sad past, he is immediately determined to help, which strikes me as a bit odd. And often, he is a bit more of a burden than help, no offense. Sometimes, he even drags MC into some dumb stuff that she has to deal with. There’s probably a bunch of stuff that’s bad about this guy but I forgot them all 😆 Next up, the system. Oh the system. I mean, cool rewards, nice original-sounding idea, but the main problem is it’s personality. It’s so unlikable I’ll be surprised if you actually like it. Even worse, it keeps telling MC that it’ll unbind with her or whatever if she keeps insulting it. I understand it might want to keep MC in check and from misbehaving, and just a thought, but people can’t always control their thoughts, and their ideas and feelings might come impulsively. Therefore, it might be better if the system does not always do that, it might also get a bit repetitive. Just a random observation, why do a lot of the antagonists MC face always consider women as “playthings”? It’s disgusting and that might say a thing or two about our dear author here. In another part where MC tries to cheer ML up, she almost tried to hook ML up with a girl because he was a bit discouraged. Like, what? I can’t imagine how anyone in their right mind would try to offer that. Again, this could reflect on how the author’s personality and thoughts could be like 😒 Lastly, rewards the system gives/what MC chooses to read. MC could be making such good use of the powers that the system has. She could go to the library and get specific stuff that could help her, instead of randomly grabbing a book and such. Moreover, I think the author should consider spacing out the time from when she gets the item/skill and using it bit more. Suppose MC gets extreme cooking skills. One or two chapters later, *poof*, there’s a cooking competition that she could attend. I feel like the story might progress a bit smoother if changed up some. Overall, besides the issues I stated above and more, I have a pretty positive outlook on this. The translation is great,the story is okay, and the characters are..tolerable, I suppose. I’m currently on chapter 29 and I hope it’ll improve later on as I keep reading. If the author is reading this, please pardon me as this is my honest opinion.
