translation quality is good, the premises is good but the concept of Tri gu sect rule is not gonna work. Even in demonic sect that kind of rule only make their demise faster (unless the sect leader have golden finger). I know the author wanted to use the concept of raising Gu in a pot as sect rule but it just not gonna work with human. Ok say that the higher up did not care about outer disciples at all, that inner disciples can send their people to plunder the sect resources like meat Gu food and than when the Quota is not reached the higher up will punish all the outer disciples(idk maybe kill them and take they Gu to eat or something) that is pure stupidity. Say that if they do that, than sect outer disciples will become less and inturn make the new inner disciple lesser, this will cause a gap in their sect generation compare to other a lil smart(not a lot just a lil bit smart) that have rule slightly good rule to prevent their sect resources go to other place(I.e sell to outside market to fill some people pockets), the said Tri-Gu sect gonna suffer a great lost if their sect enter a war with other sect because of generations gap. That still did not count when they Sect fight with Gu nemesis(phoenix, fire type cultivator) as I remember the author keep saying this is dog eat dog kind of world, it will make more so for other sect to target Tri-Gu sect. That if, if the author care about logic at all. But if He(or she) did not, than... just ignore all my comments above☝🏼🙅🏼🙈

The goal of the Sect is simply to use everyone else for the benefit of a few. Furthermore, the resources that are wasted are garbage in the eyes of the most powerful cultivators, why would they care about it when they can easily kidnap more people to increase the numbers in the sect and generate more resources? Also, in one chapter it is clearly explained that everyone below the sect leader is not people, but resources to increase his strength.

I won't say much except that the author somewhat follows your logic (the thing about other sects invading the tri-gu sect).

I am not going to argue about the quality of the book. But from your comments i think that you may have misunderstood this book or at least you might consider viewing in a different light. All your analysis is relevant in many ways, but when you mentioned the apparent goal of the author of creating a sect as Gu raising, you might remember what is its final goal. That is (wikipedia ref...): "... The traditional preparation of gu poison involved sealing several venomous creatures (e.g., centipede, snake, scorpion) inside a closed container, where they devoured one another and allegedly concentrated their toxins into a single survivor, whose body would be fed upon by larvae until consumed. The last surviving larva held the complex poison."

first of all you should get something right. Demonic Cultivation mean strength is everything and all else is secondary

And he's telling you that this doesn't work for humans.

My point was about bringing another angle to the story. In that perspective, why would the fact that it wouldn't it work matter? After they are all dead and there is only one remaining, why would the survivor care about humans or whatever? As long as it works for him. The goal of the author might simply be completely different and it might have never been about it "working" for humans. Just because this organisation uses the name of a sect, one must never forget that it is there to serve the goals of the creator. That is, if he is minimally competent in that aspect. And who knows if he is still alive...

It has said multiple times that it's extremely rare and almost impossible for an outer sect disciple to become an inner sect disciple multiple times. Outer sect disciples are all random baggage brought in from the hundreds of villages under their control, and only purpose in life is to be slaves and gu breeding grounds. The inner sect disciples come from other places, which have yet to been elaborated on yet in the novel, but it is likely they come from cities near the sect though, because it seems that people on the outside haven't realized that the sect is evil (source is from the merchant MC gets protection fees from) and they are unknowingly sending their children there. Even if all the outer sect disciples died the sect would be fine, as the inner sect disciples are the one that manage the meat gu caves in the first place. The outer sect disciples are labor slaves, and when there are no more slaves to do it for them they would have to simply do it themselves, or have the slaves directly under then do it rather than the other cannon fodders that aren't under anyone. It even shows in the novel that almost all the outer sect disciples were dead by the time MC became an inner sect disciple. He was part of a large inflow of cannon fodders that happens every once in a while, which made it seem like there were many outer sect disciples when there really weren't.

The "outer sects'" purpose isn't to produce new disciples, it is a meat gu raising site, they just call it that to trick people into sending people there. Meanwhile, if you joined at the inner sect from one of the neighboring towns, which is actually just the real sect, you would go through normal sect stuff(albeit it being a demonic sect). This is revealed when he escapes, but it annoys me seeing people posting stuff like this just after reading it for a couple chapter.

some of that gets explained later but its still a dumb explanation. i wont go into detail since spoilers but yeah the interpersonal logic is really off and the political environment is impossible.
