i rarely write reviews for novels but i think i have invested for too much time and money in this novel not to write one, not sure why u are here but the fact that you find yourself here means the book is calling you and you should give it a try you will not regret it, writing, story, characters, pacing, mystery and everything you can think of is done right( yes im biased but im not lying) i really do believe this book far exceeded the qualifications to stand in the top 5 but i guess people don’t want a read a story with a mc that isn’t brain dead and can actually make good decisions for themselves. some may find the first 50ish chapters annoying due to how MC perceives and treats the world around him but he does grow to accept his pass and starts to live more in the present than in the past, i still don’t understand how some people find it annoying but i personally think it’s done and that’s just one of many character growth moments i don’t want to spoil anything cuz if i could i would erase my memories and reread story 🤷🏾‍♂️

VEH is one of the most anti-Webnovel Webnovels on this platform. 1) There's no instant gratification for Eren or any other character for that matter. 2)Hee has to face the consequences of his actions, good or bad. 3) There are no cheat codes for him apart from his unique bloodline. 4) For a novel that supposedly started as a $mut-centric work, suffering from $mut deficiencies in later chapters can be deemed criminal. At least in the eyes of most $mut readers. 5) The world background is too harsh– too cruel. Eren can't level up at an unimaginable rate like most logic-defying-but-fun-to-read-about MCs. He neither has talent in the traditional sense nor things served on a silver platter. 6) Most of Eren's enemies are as clever and ruthless as him, if not more. He can't just run over them like a drunk driver with an unstoppable truck. 7) VEH needs time to grow on its readers. It takes 412 chapters for Osan Woods' Butcher storyline to conclude for the most part. The real and in-depth background of Anfang takes even longer to unfold- around 1100 chapters. That's a lot of investment. Most MCs in Webnovels embark on world-hopping adventures when novels reach 500+ chapters under their belts. 8) The ripples of the past could be felt in the present and future whereas most Webnovels only focus on "what's next" 9) Eren is evil with emotions. Of course, his range of emotions is unlike that of a normal ranker even in his world. But they exist. What he does differently is that he doesn't let his emotions get in the way of what he wants or aims to do. That may seem scary and/or off-putting to some readers. 10) Most Webnovels with an antihero / evil tag paint their MCs as emotionless murder maniacs. And I think it's fine. But readers transitioning from such novels would get disappointed in Eren if they see him vulnerable in certain situations and addicted to his vices. 11) VEH's storyline can't be written effortlessly despite being a Webnovel, which ideally should have been easy to create and consume. I have to limit my social interactions across all platforms and levels to write this piece. These efforts reflect in my work, which can be either a positive or a bad thing depending on readers' preferences. Some don't like retrospective views. In short, VEH is an acquired taste on this platform. At the risk of sounding like an author with an elite complex (which is not my intention), I have to say that only serious readers can keep reading this work until it makes sense. That's because it reeks of rigidity and non-fun cohesiveness normally found in traditional works. That being said, I have nothing against the top trending novels on this platform. Someday, I'll write a fun, easy-to-read, and easy-to-write Webnovel as well, and try to keep up with the trend. Fortunately or unfortunately, VEH isn't about that. It has its moments though. And I enjoy writing this piece despite the efforts it takes. Lastly, thanks for writing such an excellent review, Krom. It means a lot. Cheers, and stay tuned. You know we are just getting started ;)

Mann that’s what we like about you as a writer(we meaning the ones that still read I would assume) I personally think you should keep this writing style(if this is how you enjoy writing) I feel like the best stories are the stories you write because you want to write it that way instead of following the trend. That’s what I love about veh, it doesn’t follow the trend like the other novels which makes it amazing. I’ve seen a lot of novels with good themes or good potential become bad just because they tried to follow the trends or just become cliche(not that that’s a problem. But lets be honest it sorta gets boring after a certain point). But I jus wanna say I love your story and love the way you write the characters and the background and you should definitely keep up your good work and I admire your writing style 💯

Hello there! I couldn't help but notice your comment, and I wanted to recommend one of my novels to you. One is about a woman falling in love with her Orc guardian in VR game. The other story is historical romance, following destiny of a ruler fully devoted to his queen. Feel free to give them a read if you're in the mood for something new❤️‍🔥
