Now that this book won the silver prize, I am writing a new review. You can already guess from the synopsis that this novel is a thriller, but with the catch of superpowers that will come in handy for MC. MC is smart, but he will be selfish and evil, so expect him to do unexpected things. I don't know what else to say, so I will end it here. Please support the novel with power stones and feedback. I hope you have a nice day.

LIKEI don't know how to answer. So I hope someone reading this answer you for my and others' behalf.
It really depends. I think of it like DND alignments. Most of the time your playing with some form of good alignment party, and that alignment is standard for a reason. It's great for stories, motivation to stop evil and do good are natural and desirable for us. U can even have some Han solo types who find other motivations. It's standard because it's good. BUT! now and then , once in a blue moon, doing an evil alignment group can be great. sometimes they are short lived because the first thought is to just do the opposite of good...which is a mistake. Evil is in itself a faulty concept. Everyone is doing what they think is right , evil MCs need even clearer motivation than a good mc to work, and in that motivation sometimes you find a great story. I can't speak for this novel since I was just going to start it, but Evil MCs can be just as good to read or write about, at the end of the day its about variety and reading different points of view. I hate edgelord MCs , but a good evil MC? I can dig it. If it's done well the MC will only really seem evil if you summarize the plot objectively, all his motivations should feel understandable from a subjective point of view. It's about exploring the Grey areas of our morality.
you likely confused other party instead 😂
simple, cause you can be a scüm or evil irl without consequences so reading it in a "Fantasy" novel is intresting ....you played games like gta 5 ? one of the protagonist Trevor is a cruel psychopath ,so what you gonna tell me people playing GTA 5 have problems in their brains? what about Alex mercer from prototype? kratos from God of war? so most famous main characters of all the times are anti heroes and gray protagonists... why? cause of fantasy and escapism
it's just one perspective of morality. there are plenty of novels where the "evil mc" just does what he has to for the sake of the plot and is not evil at all so the idea of an "evil mc" is set in stone. especially in this platform
