He literally could have made a fishing net!!! He would have experience so much faster growth. The main character is dumb as a rock and relies on his bodies inherited memories and system advantages, he pretty much brings nothing from his pre Isekai'd world or personality to the table. I hope it's this way for the sake of character growth, if not why not the whole transmigration was pointless. Also does he just forget about the fellow slave girl who risked herself to give him food, what even is the point of being reincarnated as a slave if it's not central to his story or character progression it would have been the exact same if he woke up first at the shack.
